Our History

Our system has been developed right here in America. The base of our art, was developed by Gichin Funakoshi, the founder of Shotokan Karate. At some point in the past century, Shotokan made its way to America and was popularized by many native sons in many minority East Coast cities. Grand Master Jahad Shabazz (10th Dan) was one of those sons who took the Shotokan Karate,

mixed it with Aiki-Jujitsu, the most effective aspects of other martial arts, and blinded it together to form the system as taught by Grand Master Ali Shabazz.  The system is very unique in that it marries the hard strikes, blocks, and stances of Karate with the joint locks, take downs of Jujitsu while flowing with the fluidly of Aikido.
